But I have reasons to use it on my unraid server.ġ) I know I'm not the only person to miss AFP in Unraid. I'm aware it's depreciated by both Apple and unraid. I have my reasons why I need AFP over SMB, please don't argue I need to move on. This is because I could not figure out how to set up or pass through authentication from Unraid. I don't want to publish it to CA, since it's about as simplistic as you can get, and it's completely insecure in its current form. (Docker experts could have created this in less than a minute, but like I said, I'm a total newbie and it took me a while to figure all this out). However, I got frustrated at the removal of AFP from Unraid so after some hours of banging my head against the wall I was able to create an insanely basic netatalk docker for Unraid. I would be happy if someone have an idea.I'm a straight up newbie at creating Docker containers. # passwd chat = *Enter\snew\s*\spassword:* %n\n *Retype\snew\s*\spassword:* %n\n *password\supdated\ssuccessfully*. The Active Directory based on a Windows Server 2012 R2 enviroment. Maybe it could works with Kerberos but i didnt get the module working. Ive already found various how to's but it didnt work for me. I spend days of searching but there is no solution in sight. Equally whether i type the right or wrong password: Aug 10 08:48:37.908651 afpd (debug:AFPDaemon): uam: uams_dhx2.so loaded If i try to connect an afp volume with a known active directory user, i see in netatalk log following entries. I've tested samba itself and i can connect a samba share with a active directory username.Īt the moment, it seems it works "partialy". Well i dont know if it would be a problem because i want to use only users instead of groups. Getent passwd shows me all users but i dont get ad groups with getent group. Ive got already samba with ad connection working and i gets with wbinfo -u and wbinfo -g all data from AD. I can't login with an active directory user. I have a problem with Netatalk and Active Directory.
